The Fellowship
The fellowship consisted of nine randomly picked out people
who would go to Mordor and destroy the ring. Of course only
2 of them actually made it there, the rest just kind of chilled
out and waited for them to return.
Frodo Baggins
Elijah Wood
He's the "main guy" so to speak, Frodo is the lead
hobbit who has the ring and he alone must drop it into Mount
Doom to destroy it. Not the most enviable task ever.
Sam Gamgee
Sean Astin
Frodo's number two as it were, Sam follows Frodo pretty much
everywhere he goes on his magical journey.
Merry
Dominic Monaghan
Liking nothing better than food and smoking, Merry is yet
another of these hobbit creatures he end up going off towards
Mordor. Not that Merry gets very far before being captured
by orks.
Pippin
Billy Boyd
Yes, these hobbits just keep coming. This one even reaches
the level of fool after looking into the seeing stone.
Gandalf
Ian McKellen
Without good old Gandalf everyone would probably be dead several
times over. He starts of Gandalf the grey but later returns
with a nice white robe looking very flashy.
Aragorn
Viggo Mortensen
Known as Strider the ranger, Aragorn should actually be king
of Gondor if only he would take his rightful place. Deep down
he is a true warrior and great leader.
Legolas Greenleaf
Orlando Bloom
When did Legolas get a surname? As with all fantasy films
you have to have the toiken elf and Legolas has the added
advantage of being one of the best. Look at those wacky acrobatics
he can do!
Gimli
John Rhys-Davies
Always the first to provide a little humour, Gimli is the
short Dwarf guy who is always battling against Legolas to
see who can slay the most enemies. "Weh, it still only
counts as one!"
Boromir
Sean Bean
Proud and brave warrior, Boromir is apple of his fathers eye.
Shame really that he gets killed by orks at the end of the
first film.
